Christina Wood

managing director / principal designer / product designer

Christina is a senior interior designer with over thirty years experience in interior architecture and construction. She has managed her own successful business for over two decades. She has pitched and secured government contracts with the Government Architects Office (NSW) and specialises in high-end residential refurbishments and developments in the Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore.

Christina is constantly developing professionally. A passion for human centred design led her to study UX Design which then led to studying and experience in product design as well as writing a curriculum and facilitating a product management course for the Department of Education. This has given her a rare set of skills that not many design professionals have in the design and construction industry.

She has a passion for sustainable building systems and products and regularly volunteers her time to human centred design workshops to design and develop product for the built environment.

She believes every client is unique. That they have their own set of needs and wants which they may or may not be aware of. It is her mission to identify these through listening as she applies her own unique twist by utilising the interviewing techniques in human centred design. Her approach to every project is to keep an open mind and listen to what is being said and especially to what is "not" being said.

She believes every site has multiple opportunities to add value. She is constantly seeking ways to capture views and light, to add privacy and improve function while creating an ideal, tailored aesthetic for each client. For her, the clients enthusiastic engagement and involvement in the design process is the most enjoyable part of the design journey.
